Fruit Flies

Drosophila hydei are about 1/8" in size and are the largest variety of flightless fruit flies. Our flightless fruit fly cultures will continue to produce flies for up to five weeks, so amphibians, reptiles and fish will have plenty of flies. Each vial ships with approximately 50 to 100 adult flies so usage can begin right away.

Drosophila melanogaster are about the size of a pinhead in size and are the smallest variety of flightless fruit flies.
